First Taste of Life as an Air Force Wife

So I just got home from dropping Thomas off at the hotel in LA.  He leaves for Air Force Basic Military Training tomorrow.  Leaving him at the hotel was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life!  But at the same time I am very proud of him and I support his decision to join the Air Force 100 percent!  Just thinking about the fact that I won't get to talk to him or see him for the next 2 months really sucks!  I know that this is a part of being a military wife and I am going to have to get used to it, but I just didn't think that it was going to be this hard.  The good thing is that I have a great family (both mine and his) and great friends that I know are there for me when I need them.

Tomorrow, Thomas' sister Jennie, and I are going to go down to MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) to watch Thomas swear in.  I'm kind of torn on whether or not this is a good idea for me to go watch.  Don't get me wrong, I am very excited to get to see him swear in.  I think that is going to be really cool, but i just wonder if it is a good idea for me to see him again, but not actually get to talk to him.  I might break down again.  Oh well, I think it's worth the risk. Besides, even if I do break down at least I will get to see him one more time before he leaves, and that it definitely worth it!
